It’s been an interesting week for Gillingham Football Club.
On Thursday, the club’s shareholders voted overwhelmingly in favour of the removal of former owner Paul Scally from the club and GFC Holdings, with 311 voting for, opposite 11 against. Scally has already intimated that he will legally challenge the vote, and his removal.
That same day, the club held a fans forum, where owner Brad Galinson read a prepared statement about the situation, stating his frustration at not being able to give more information about it on advice from the club’s lawyers. Then the fans fired an array of questions at both Brad and Shannon Galinson, CEO Joe Comper and manager Mark Bonner, whose responses were a real highlight of the evening.
On this episode of The Fans Social, James Hawkins is joined by Tom Jasper and Luke Teachen to recap the events of Thursday, and look ahead to Saturday’s home game against Accrington Stanley.
